Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Ok so we all have our favorite ice cream, right??!!!  I think I could be an ice cream critic.  Unfortunately for me I am an ice cream addict or ice creamaholic hahah but for the lovely ice cream makers and marketers of the world it is their lucky day.  I honestly probably go through a gallon of ice cream in about 8 days.  I have tried so many and because I am cheap and frugal I try to stick with what is on sale but that never seems to pay out unless it is my all time favorite which is:  Edy's Mint Chocolate Chip slow churned.  http://edys.com/main/index.asp?b=105

I wish I could continue to explore the lighter side but every time I do, it ends up an epic failed attempt to be calorie conscious Yuck!!  Well Yuck when it comes to ice cream anyway.  Sooo here is a question:  

         Q: Why does it seem like ice cream tastes soooo much better when you go to the ice cream parlor?  I live in Saint Joseph, Michigan near the beautiful, majestic Lake Michigan with its quaint shops, cozy dining and yummy ice cream shops it is an awesome tourist destination.  There are three very yummy ice cream shops that appeal to so many.  I always like the ones that are family owned; those are my favorite. So here is my list for now:

This is also located on the beautiful and majestic Mackinac Island way at the top Michigan and if you haven't had the pleasure of traveling here, you should put it on your bucket list indeed!

3)  Baskin Robbins http://www.baskinrobbins.com/ this isn't right near the lake but still in Saint Joe and still oh so yummy, especially since they share it with Dunkin Donuts; you can't go wrong there. :)

I like hard ice cream over soft serve but dont mind having my Dairy Queen blizzard now and then but that is a question I am going to have to ponder, search and find the answer to.  I will be on an ice cream mission now....haha.  They come in these huge circular mega gallon tubs, sooo maybe it contains some special ingredient or more sugar??!!!  Hmmmmm, very interesting.  Anyway I am sitting here with my yummy bowl of ice cream at 1:00 am and I also add my other favorite to it which is also another hint of why I am not helping my weight loss routine but oh so good and this is Nestle mini morsels.  

Oh heaven, I say what a versatile, yummy, chocolate morsel of goodness!!  I top this on my ice cream, my yummy chocolate chip cookies, pies, shakes....soooo are you hungry yet??!!  hehe
