Garage Sale Thursday

Well yesterday I was sick all day....so much so that I couldn't even drive my kids to school :(.  I wish I had a friend or family member of whom I could rely on to assist in getting my kids to school but since I can't and my stinking fibro got the best of me it was a Wednesday hiatus for the three of us....lol.  Soo that brings me to today which in my area and I am assuming most other areas and regions it is the start of garage sale weekend!!!!  Spring is here, the temperatures are increasing, the grass is green, the tulips are out and looking oh so beautiful and the brightly colored signs are at the nearby street corners with my two favorite words written on them that called out my name; "GARAGE SALE"!!!!  So I dropped my youngest off and since I wasn't planning on going anywhere else afterwards but home I went to two garage sales instead; of course with no bra on....isn't that how it always works???!!!  haha  Well hey at least I brushed my teeth before I set out on my morning journey but without a bra....I mean who likes wearing bras anyway????  haha


So I bought a few good deals today, mostly for my friend of whom just had a baby.  I can't resist looking and buying baby clothes, toys, books; part of me, well about 75% of me would love to have another baby and the only thing technically stopping me is my bank account and oh a few medical issues.....lol.  Anyway the deal of the day for me was a distressed glider swing for $15.00!!!!!  It was painted white and the paint is chipping a bit sooo that should be easy peasy to bring it back to life and give it an awesome face lift and some love.  Here is the style of what it looks like but I will have more pictures as soon as I can pick it up since I had the small car when I bought it and have to go back tomorrow to pick it up from the seller and hopefully find someone awesome of who just might have a truck that can haul my beautiful treasure back home, especially since it is literally like three miles away..... hehe.

Sooo I got my house clean, did two loads of laundry, scored some great garage sale deals, fought with  insurance companies just to get my new member id information for our prescription coverage, grocery shopped, made pot roast, picked up kids from school, picked up husband from work and coached my youth soccer team for our one hour practice soooo I would say not a bad Thursday....well let's see what Garage sale Friday will bring me!!!

What are some of the best garage sale finds that have put a smile on your face??  You have been proud of???  Had a really good before and after face lift???  I can't wait til I post pics of the afterglow and of a new craft I am doing tomorrow....woo hoo!!!
