A bike ride

"What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lives within us."

Woo hoo I am finally getting nestled in and writing my new and improved blog.  I want to keep this going and dive into all the wonderful things I like doing plus adding my trials and tribulations along with some seasoned humor.  Today has been an exceptionally increased pain day....grrrrr.  This pain stuff is really for the birds and even they get to at least fly south....geesh.  It is spring break week and I have a step-daughter who is lucky enough to be in Louisiana with her grandparents, an almost 15 year old who is addicted to minecraft (I swear...I think he believes it is real) and xbox and an 11 year old who is adhered to the xbox as well.  If I mention the words, "study, homework, math, intelligence, enhancements, read" the line of communication goes void and the escalation of their voices increases.  I sit on my little couch with my heating pad of course on these bad pain days in amazement.  I stare at my overachieving prodigies <sarcasm> in awe and think, "wow they are able bodied, free of pain that can wash, sweep, create, draw, paint, run, play, whatever; but they choose to be couch slumps and try to be the mastermind behind the xbox controller or laptop keyboard."  I sit there and look at my piles of mess to clean, unfinished or un-started (I know not really a word but it sounds good) Pinterest projects and wishing I had some energy to do them or didn't have any pain to make it from point A to B....lol.  Sooo some napping occurred today and then I rode my bike (to try to break the pain into pieces...lol) to the grocery store....yep sticking it to the gas man Ugh $4.10/gallon.  Anyway I rode my bike down there with my husband and my legs were hurting but I kept going, stretching my back as I went.  I got the necessary items for dinner and away we went back home.  It took about 30 minutes for the whole trip, not bad at all I might say and my legs felt like jello when I got of but I could still walk sooo YAY!!!!

This is my pretty, pink Townie bike....pretty cool huh???!!!  hehe  No I do NOT have a front basket!! lol

Made an easy dinner of brats, deli salads and chips, then after dinner I took my youngest son Collin to the YMCA for open swim.  Let me just say I wasn't sooo delighted about this because I felt bloated, in pain and when I got into the pool it was NOT therapeutic at all....haha.  For those of you who fight with MS, Fibromyalgia or any other autoimmune disorder staying warm is usually the number one priority and I was oh so chilly hehe.  Oh well I kept swimming around trying to stretch, be limber and pretend I was a fish.....the life of fish, right??!!!  Well until they are caught hehe.  Well time for a short after two am slumber......Gravity is a beotch...just saying.   Night night
